BORDEAUX SUPERIOR
This jewel-box of an estate, now owned by Julie and Xavier Gonet-Medeville, combines three plots (3h) within, and two plots (6h) just outside, the commune of Margaux. Their most important parcel is on the famous plateau du Moulin – a triangle (2h) surrounded on two sides by the vines of Chateau Margaux itself. No coincidence since the former owners, the Grangeroux family, were cellar-masters at the famous Chateau for three generations.
Bordeaux Superieur… 75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc. This delicious black fruit-filled wine comes from vineyards just outside the Margaux appellation, along the “palus” or former marshland near the Gironde.
